If you’re looking for a powerful air purification system for your entire house, you’ll need the help of a professional HVAC technician.

Types of air purifiers

There are multiple air purification systems that are available which we can install into your HVAC duct.

Typically, we install 2 types: one that uses ionization and one that uses UV light.

Air Ionizers

When it comes to air ionizers, we recommend the iWave-R system (or in some cases, iWave-C) which treats air using bi-polar ionization. This is the residential-version of the purification systems currently being installed in restaurants, businesses & schools around the country.

The iWave-C is specially designed for light commercial systems, although it is suitable for residential applications as well. This model is more costly than the iWave-R.

Both models kill mold, bacteria and viruses, as well as reduce allergens, odors (such as those created by cooking, pets or VOCs), smoke, static electricity in addition to other airborne particles in the coil or in your living spaces.

Independent lab tests have shown that the iWave-C and iWave-R do significantly reduce a variety of pathogens in breathing zones and on hard, non-porous surfaces, including that of the more common Human Coronavirus 229E, as well as SARS-CoV-2 (Covid-19).

See more about the test results here.

Maintenance & Warranties

What’s more, there’s no replacement parts or maintenance required. It comes with a programmable cleaning cycle that can be set to every 1, 3, 5 or 10 days.

This system works for most residences, designed to treat air in any brand of residential duct HVAC systems up to 6 tons (2400 CFM) for iWave-R, or 12 tones (4800 CFM) for iWave-C. The iWave-R and iWave-C also come with a 3-year manufacturer warranty (the warranty is only valid if it has been installed by a licensed HVAC or electrical contractor).

In-Duct Air Purifier (UV Light)

Harnessing the power of UV light in your HVAC system is a simple yet highly effective way to improve indoor air quality and protect your home or office from harmful contaminants. The Fresh-Aire UV APCO-X combines advanced UV-C light and activated carbon technology to purify your air, offering an unparalleled defense against viruses, bacteria, allergens, and mold.

Why Choose UV Light for Your HVAC?

  1. Purify Your Air: The APCO-X UV system targets airborne pathogens, including bacteria, viruses, and mold spores, reducing the chances of illnesses spreading through your HVAC system.
  2. Reduce Allergens and Irritants: By neutralizing contaminants like dust mites, pollen, and pet dander, this UV system helps create a healthier environment, ideal for anyone with allergies or respiratory sensitivities.
  3. Eliminate Odors: The activated carbon within the APCO-X neutralizes odors caused by cooking, smoking, pets, and volatile organic compounds (VOCs). You’ll breathe fresher, cleaner air.
  4. Prevent Mold Growth: UV light inhibits the growth of mold on HVAC coils and surfaces, which improves the system’s efficiency while preventing mold spores from circulating through the air.
  5. Extend the Life of Your HVAC System: Cleaner air means less build-up on your HVAC system, leading to reduced maintenance costs, improved energy efficiency, and longer system life.

Why APCO-X?

  • Award-Winning Technology: APCO-X has been recognized for its groundbreaking performance in improving air quality with the combination of UV-C light and activated carbon.
